This lovely vinatage frame is a Claud Butler Coureur the last of which were built in 1967. The curved arch in upper rear fork/brake caliper stay aren't found on other lighweight bikes of this period. It is Reynolds 531 butted tubing and with the fitments you see on the frame. It's very lightweight, with really slender rear forks. It has very nice as Nervex lugs.

I bought it 5 years ago as a complete bike with a 12 speed set up with the intention of rebuilding it. It's been shot Blasted & powder coated which cost around £110 in all, it looks stunning but there are a few rough patches and marks from storage. I lined the lugs, applied deacals the decals cost £28, re greased headset and fiited a new bottom bracket. I haven't got round to finishing this but do have many of the period parts whch I haven't listed these yet, but list for you if you are intereseted: all in very good condition:
Suntour VX long cage mech
Stronglight double crankset
27" vintage Raleigh wheelset
Vintage alloy sidepull brake calipers and levers
Alloy drop bars and stem
Headset has been regreased but the frame would benefit from a new one to get the best result.
All in all I would say this will make a great restoration project and will be a lovely bike when finished!
